The “BEUN Faculty of Dentistry Student Symposium,” organized by the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Dentistry, was held on May 16, 2026, at the Tahir Karauğuz Conference Hall in the BEUN Farabi Campus with a large number of participants. Following the opening speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Baran Can Sağlam, Dr. Burçin ACUNER, Assistant Professor from the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the BEUN Faculty of Medicine, addressed the history, development, and application of artificial intelligence in the field of health with her presentation titled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.” Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gediz GEDUK, a faculty member from the Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology at the Faculty of Dentistry, shared his expertise and technical details on “Dental Photography” with the students. The final session of the symposium featured a presentation by the Chief Physician of Zonguldak Oral and Dental Health, Dt. Emre ERBAYCU addressed the topic of "Becoming a Dentist in the Public Sector," sharing valuable information to guide young prospective dentists on their professional career journey. The event, organized by the Faculty of Dentistry Scientific Research Society in collaboration with the Faculty's Young Dentists Commission, concluded with a feedback and closing session.
