An orientation program was held at our Faculty of Dentistry on August 31, 2026, in collaboration with the BEUN Oral and Dental Health Application and Research Center, for 4th-year students who will be receiving face-to-face clinical training this semester.

The training program, aimed at helping students adapt to the clinical training process and informing them about the points to be considered during clinical practices, included a general briefing by Dean Prof. Dr. Baran Can SAĞLAM and Center Deputy Director Prof. Dr. Sevinç AKTEMUR TÜRKER on the functioning of clinical practice courses, the rules students must follow, and the points to be considered.

As part of the orientation program, Dr. Nigar AK TÜRKİŞ, Lecturer in Oral and Dental Health Program at BEUN Ahmet Erdoğan Health Services Vocational School, provided training on the correct use of personal protective equipment in dental practices, measures to be taken to reduce the risk of infection during treatment, and points to be considered during sterilization and disinfection processes. Important considerations during unit use were explained practically and theoretically by Kaan ELİÇORA, while the Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training was conducted by Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Şengül AKSU. Students were also informed about the Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) they will use during patient care in clinics by TURCASOFT representative Burçin SÖYLEMEZ.
