Under the leadership of our Faculty's Guidance and Psychological Counseling Board, Zonguldak Provincial Police Department Anti-Narcotics Branch Directorate organized substance addiction awareness training for our students.

As part of the training, comprehensive information was provided on the physical, psychological, and social harms caused by addictive substances and methods for avoiding these habits. Furthermore, to raise awareness among our students, the UYUMA app, developed by the General Directorate of Security using a fully domestic and national software infrastructure and available free of charge on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, was introduced. It was emphasized that one of the app's most important features is the strict confidentiality of reporting individuals' identities at all stages.

The presentation detailed the negative effects of drug use on individuals and society, how addiction begins, risk factors, and addiction prevention strategies. Questions from students were answered after the program.

The training concluded with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Police Officer Büşra YAZICI by our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Baran Can SAĞLAM.
